Services Set For Ken Thayer

Services for long time racer and drag racing advocate Ken Thayer are set.  His wake is scheduled for Sunday, August 20 followed by a funeral service on Monday, August 21.  “Ken was responsible for introducing hundreds of young men and women to the sport of drag racing through his involvement with South Shore Vocational School.  That included emphasizing the importance of safety, as well as the many employment opportunities available in motorsports,” said New England Dragway General Manager Joe Lombardo.  He added, “Ken was always willing to help someone.  All you had to do is pick up the phone and give him a call.  Ken never hesitated.  His generosity knew no bounds.”  For more information about Ken visit
